Christmas cross stitch gift

Finally I have pictures to show of the gift I have been stitching on for my Mom the master quilter.Luckily when I went to my local cross stitch shop 'The Sampler' in Toronto they were just putting in an order for needlework boxes. Here is the finished project. It is from LHN. I left off the top and bottom part of the design but I think it looks good with the dark wood in the box.I am anxious to see how my Mom likes it . She could put a lot of different things in the box. Won't be long now. More Christmas pics tomorrow.

  2. Hi Jennifer,

Thanks for dropping by my blog and leaving a comment. I've been so terribly lax with my blogging this year and I feel terrible about that because I've made so many wonderful friends through this medium. I hope that once the Christmas Chaos season passes I'll have time to sit down and update the durn thing.

Meanwhile, I am tickled to meet a fellow stitcher who lives in Toronto. And you mention the old Sampler store in one of your posts. I use to shop there too, way back in the day.
    Ah memories.

Hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas too and all the best for the New
Year that will soon be upon us.

    Cheers!

  6. Beautiful! ...and so appropriate since your mom is such a talented quilter. (I looked at a few of her quilts that you posted here---fantastic!)
